Users in the wild

Being a father and husband I can completely relate to the notion of distraction when it comes to using the web. In the real world its a rare moment when I get to sit at a computer and provide it with 100% of my undivided attention. And in a world where computing is going to become more and more ubiquitous this will become more and more relevant to the way we design our user experiences.

Following James May and Sabrina Page's presentation at UX Brighton I have certainly been trying to take the time to consider the entire context from which people approach and use the websites and experiences I design. And opening an eye to users in the wild really underlines the importance of super duper usability.
